Why I wanted a personal website??
Not for SEO. Not for likes. Not to look busy. Just to own a small corner of the internet that is mine.
There is something uncomfortable about not having a place online that is fully yours.
I have profiles on LinkedIn, some old tweets, a few forum posts scattered across the internet. But none of those feel like home. They feel like rented apartments where the landlord controls the furniture.
So I built this website.
Not because I have a personal brand strategy. Not because a course told me to. Not to grow an audience or generate leads.
I wanted one place where I can think in public, document experiments, and be honest about what I am figuring out - without optimizing for an algorithm.
The internet is full of polished personal sites that feel like resumes with better fonts. I did not want that. I wanted something that felt like a notebook - a little messy, very personal, updated because I wanted to think out loud.
What I actually want from this site
A place to write notes without worrying about reach.
A place to document experiments - products, habits, ideas - and track what I learned.
A place that forces me to reflect. Writing makes you honest. You cannot really fool yourself when you have to put sentences together.
A place that will still exist in ten years, with a record of what I was thinking and doing right now.
**The honest version****
I also wanted to stop hiding behind the excuse of not having a platform.
Every time I had an idea or learned something interesting, I either did it in private or posted a quick thought on social media that got buried in two days.
A personal website is a small act of ownership. It says: these ideas matter enough for me to build something for them.
That felt important to me.
So here it is. Still figuring it out. But not standing still.
